Understanding the ledger

Every dollar in and out, in order, with a running balance — and what you can export.

The ledger is the team's bank statement: every payment in and out, in date order, with a running balance. Most of it writes itself.

The ledger, newest first, with a running balance in the last column. Credits are money in, debits money out; a negative balance shows in red.

What posts automatically

  • Family payments — as credits, when you record them or Stripe reports them
  • Expenses you pay — as debits
  • Reimbursements to coaches and parents — as debits
  • Donations received — as credits

Automatic entries stay in step with where they came from. Correct the amount in the ledger or within an expense group and everything syncs.

Adding entries by hand

For anything with no home elsewhere — bank interest, a club transfer, a refund. Use Add Entry.

Starting balance

Taking over mid-season with money already in the account? Set the starting balance in Settingsand the whole ledger recalculates from it. You don't need to back-enter last season.

Exporting
