Accepting card and bank payments with Stripe

The only payment method that records itself. What it costs and where the money lands.

Connecting Stripe lets families pay by card or bank transfer, and those payments record themselves — no reconciling. It's the one option that closes the loop without you.

  1. Settings → Payment Options → Connect Stripe.
  2. Complete Stripe's onboarding — identity and bank details, on Stripe's own pages.
  3. You'll come back to TeamFees once approved.
Money goes from the parent to yourStripe account. TeamFees never holds it, and can't move it.

Card and bank payments

Money goes to your own Stripe account. TeamFees never holds it.

Connect Stripe
Payment Options in Settings. Handles are just text — they build a deep link. Stripe is the only one that connects an account, and the only one that records payments for you.

What it costs

  • Cards — 2.9% + 30¢ per payment.
  • Bank (ACH) — 0.8%, capped at $5. Much cheaper on a larger team fee.

These are Stripe's fees and go to Stripe. TeamFees takes nothing from family payments, and your subscription is separate — see what TeamFees costs.

Many treasurers offer Stripe alongside Venmo: families who want convenience use the card, and the rest cost nothing to collect.

Timing

Card payments show up in seconds. Bank transfers take a few business days to clear and record when they settle — the family may say they've paid before it appears, and both of you are right.
