Expense groups explained
The central idea: a bundle of costs, split across the players who took part.
An expense group is a chunk of spending you split across a chosen set of players — a tournament, a trip, or a stretch of the season. It holds the costs, decides who's charged, and works out each family's share.
Most treasurers end up with six to eight a season. Grouping by event works better than one giant "season" group, because participation varies event to event and that's exactly what groups handle.

Naming
Use what a parent would recognise — "Surf Cup", "Las Vegas Showcase". The name appears in every email and on their payment page.
Due date
Shown to parents in payment emails. It doesn't trigger anything on its own — no automatic reminders, no late fees. You decide when to chase.
