Importing a roster from a spreadsheet

Bring a whole roster in at once from a CSV, whatever the column headings are.

If your club sent you a spreadsheet, export it as CSV and import it rather than typing twenty families in by hand.

  1. Roster → Import CSV, and choose your file.
  2. Match the columns. TeamFees guesses from your headings; correct anything it got wrong.
  3. Review what will be imported, then confirm.

Match your columns

We guessed from your headings. Change anything we got wrong.

The mapping step. TeamFees guesses from your headings; anything it got wrong you set here. Nothing is imported until you confirm.

What the file needs

A player name — either one full-name column or separate first and last — and the first name, last name and email for at least one parent. columns are ignored, so there's no need to tidy the file first.

Rows without a usable player name are skipped, and the import tells you which. Nothing is imported until you confirm.

Players with two parents

A CSV row carries one parent. Import the file, then add second parents on the players who need them — usually only a handful.
