Why a payment you made still shows as unpaid

Venmo, PayPal and Zelle can't tell TeamFees anything, so those payments wait for your treasurer to confirm them.

Almost always, this is normal and nothing has gone wrong.

Venmo, PayPal and Zelle have no way to tell TeamFees that a payment has been sent. They're personal payment apps, and none of them offer a way for another service to watch for incoming money. So when you pay that way, TeamFees genuinely doesn't know — your treasurer sees the money in their own account and records it here.

DuePayment sent — pendingPaid

you press “I've sent my payment” · your treasurer records it

The status on your fee, before and after. It only reaches “Paid” once your treasurer confirms the money arrived — there is no way for Venmo, PayPal or Zelle to tell TeamFees for them.

What to do

  1. Press I've sent this paymenton the fee if you haven't already. Your status changes to Payment sent — pending, which flags it for your treasurer.
  2. Give them a couple of days. Treasurers are volunteers and usually reconcile in batches.
  3. If it's still open after that, message them — they may not have spotted the transfer.

When it should be automatic

Card and bank payments made through Pay by credit card or bank do record themselves. A card should reflect within seconds; a bank (ACH) transfer takes a few business days to clear and updates when it settles. If a card payment hasn't appeared after a few minutes, see a payment that hasn't appeared.
