Getting paid back for something you bought

Paid for team snacks or a hotel out of pocket? Submit it and follow it through to reimbursement.

If you paid for something on the team's behalf, submit it from Reimbursements instead of texting your treasurer a photo and hoping it gets remembered.

  1. Open Reimbursements and press Submit an Expense.
  2. Describe what it was, enter the amount, and add the date if you know it.
  3. Add a note if there's anything your treasurer should know.

Submit an expense

Enter what you paid for out of pocket. Your treasurer files it against the right expense group and pays you back from team funds.

Your Reimbursements page: three totals across the top, then every expense you are owed for or have already been paid back for.

What happens then

Your treasurer files it against the right expense group and pays you back from team funds. You can follow the whole thing on the same page:

  • Pending review— submitted; your treasurer hasn't filed it yet.
  • Awaiting payment— approved and on the team's books; you haven't been paid back yet.
  • Reimbursed — paid back to you, on the date shown.
  • Declined— with your treasurer's reason.
Made a mistake? You can withdraw a submission yourself while it's still Pending review. After that it's on the team's books, so ask your treasurer.

Expenses your treasurer entered for you appear here too, so this page is the full picture of what the team owes you — not only the things you filed yourself.
