TeamFees never touches your money

Payments go from families straight to the treasurer. We calculate and record — we don't hold funds.

TeamFees is bookkeeping software. It works out what each family owes, records what's been paid, and emails people about it. Money never passes through us.

Where payments actually go

  • Venmo, PayPal, Zelle — parent to treasurer, directly, in those apps. We only generate the link with the right amount and note.
  • Card and bank— parent to the treasurer's own Stripe account. We create the checkout; Stripe moves the money and pays out to the treasurer's bank.
  • Cash and checks — nothing to do with us at all; the treasurer records them here afterwards.

In no case do we hold, route, or have any ability to move a team's money. If TeamFees disappeared tomorrow, the funds would be exactly where they already are — in the treasurer's account.

Why it's built this way

Holding other people's money makes you a money transmitter, with the licensing and regulation that implies. Staying out of the flow of funds means a volunteer treasurer's money stays theirs, and we never become a single point of failure between a family and their team.

The one payment TeamFees does receive is the treasurer's own subscription. That's a normal Stripe subscription and is entirely separate from anything families pay.
