Cancelling, closing, or deleting

Three different things with very different consequences. Pick carefully.

These sound similar but they aren't. Only one is permanent.

Cancel subscription

Access until the period you paid for ends, then read-only.

Reversible

Close the team

Read-only now, billing stops, everything stays readable.

Reversible

Delete the team

Roster, expenses, payments and ledger removed.

Permanent
The three, and what each leaves behind. Only the last one loses anything.

Cancel the subscription

From the Stripe portal in Settings → Billing. You keep full access to the end of the period you've already paid for, then the team goes read-only — same as a lapsed trial. Nothing is deleted, and resubscribing restores it.

Close the team

From Settings. Billing stops immediately and the team becomes read-only, but everything stays readable and exportable for you and every family. This is what you want at the end of a season, and it's reversible.

Delete the team

Permanent. The roster, expenses, payments and ledger are removed and cannot be recovered by anyone, including us. Export your ledger to CSV first, and only do this to a team created by mistake.

You'll be asked to type the team's name to confirm.
